Introduction:

Upazila Project Implementation Office is one of the offices that work at the upazila level. In 1973-74 after independence, a relief department was started in the circle officer's office at that time. Gradually its activities began to increase. At present there are upazila project implementation offices in all upazilas of Bangladesh. Apart from this, there is a project implementation office in the circle office in the city corporation area. Upazila Project Implementation Office is under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Government of Bangladesh. The office is managed by the Disaster Management Department. Apart from this, the District Commissioner and Upazila Executive Officer supervise all the implemented programs. The office of District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer is at the district level to directly supervise the program of the Upazila Project Implementation Office.
